  • Stefan Goldmann's Macro label will release four of his classical composer father's pieces in May. In addition to being available through traditional retail avenues, British publication The Wire will distribute Late Works to subscribers with their next edition of the magazine. Goldmann, who passed away in 2009, had a direct impact on contemporary electronic music. Paul Frick—his student—went on to form Brandt Brauer Frick, who perform live techno with classical instruments. Closer to home, his son has had releases on Cocoon, Ovum, Innervisions and more. Throughout his career, Goldmann was commissioned and performed by leading ensembles, such as the Berliner Philharmoniker, Pierre Boulez, Ensemble Modern, Arditti Quartet and Daniel Barenboim. Additionally, his distinctive work was requested for major events, including the 20th anniversary celebrations surrounding the fall of the Berlin Wall. This new album will celebrate an as yet uncovered portion of the composer's life, with music taken from 1994, 2007 and 2008. Tracklist 01. Haiku à 6 02. Ensemblekonzert 3 03. Sisyphos zu zweit 04.
