New York duo Holy Ghost! will release their self-titled debut album this April.
Alex Frankel and Nicholas Millhiser are a relatively young duo, having put out just a handful of 12-inches since 2007. Their sound to date has been a slightly retro, tongue-in-cheek mixture of disco and electronic pop, as exemplified by last summer's Static On the Wire EP, which RA's Jack Haighton described as "music in which fun is a more valuable currency than sincerity." This makes them a perfect fit for DFA Records, the New York indie and electronic establishment that's put out all of Holy Ghost!'s records so far. The upcoming album features mostly new tracks from the duo, plus a few selections from their past EPs.
