- The label will bounce back next month with an EP from Italy's Madato.
After two years of silence, Items & Things will return next month with Speak of the She Devil, an EP from Italian producer Madato.
Run by Minus artists Magda, Marc Houle and Troy Pierce, Items & Things is a boutique label that put out a handful of 12-inches between 2006 and 2009. The project was on hiatus for the past two years, reportedly because the founders had a hard time finding artists to fit the label's idiosyncratic sound. It's not for lack of demos though. Rather, they've been searching for something with that particular Items & Things vibe, which is to say, "weird, experimental and beautiful sounds." Whatever it was they were searching for, they've found it in the form of Italian producer Madato, giving cause to re-ignite the label again. The forthcoming EP will be the label's first in two years.
