The five-day event in Washington, DC also features FaltyDL, Frank Bretschneider and Mike Huckaby among others.
Forward Festival have the initial lineup for their 2011 event, scheduled for March 30th through April 3rd in Washington, DC.
Now in its fourth year running, Forward Festival is presented by 88, a promoter that's brought dozens of electronic artists to DC over the past few years, both from the US and abroad. Acts confirmed so far for this year's event include house DJs like Art Department, Mike Huckaby and Trus'me, plus Detroit techno duo Octave One, who will play live. Modern drum & bass sounds will come from ASC and High Contrast, and Brooklyn's FaltyDL will deliver his trademark style of garage-inspired beats. Raster-Noton co-founder Frank Bretschneider is slated to play as well.
As in previous years, Forward Festival will also feature workshops and art installations, though details on that part of the festival have yet to be confirmed. The events will take place at a host of venues around the city, including the U St. Music Hall, Eighteenth Street Lounge, Sweet Spot, The Warehouse and The Loft.
