  • Berlin-based producer Marc Houle will helm the birthday celebrations for London's WetYourSelf crew in early February. Houle is inextricably linked to Ritchie Hawtin's Minus label, and his connection to the minimal icon traces back to the 1990s, when he hosted a new wave night at Hawtin's Ontario club 13 Below. Houle has since become a core Minus artist, with his recent album Drift further demonstrating an unwavering commitment to the strand of sparse, moody techno that both he and the label are renowned for. As a returning guest for WetYourSelf, Houle is no stranger to fabric. Although the Sunday night staple has an open-ended taste in 4/4 styles, there is a definite slant towards driving dance floor sounds, with Ellen Allien, Marcel Dettmann, Spencer Parker and Miss Kittin all having featured as guests, as well as Houle's label mates Magda and Troy Pierce. As the first WetYourSelf gathering since New Year's Eve, the birthday bash should be extra lively. Resident DJs Cormac, Peter Pixzel and Jacob Husley will also appear on the night. Tickets for WetYourSelf! 4th Birthday with Marc Houle can be purchased right here from RA.
