  • At the end of this week, Leeds outfit detatched will host the first of two parties in conjunction with Berghain's in-house label Ostgut Ton. While Berghain is known in part for the housier vibes of Panorama Bar, the two detached events will focus on the wall-of-sound techno emanating from the club's downstairs room. Ben Klock and Marcel Dettman forthcoming will play in May, and Shed will pair up with Marcel Fengler this Friday. The former artist just finished a watershed year, thanks in part to his second acclaimed longplayer, The Traveller, which further explored his idiosyncratic style of techno with shades of acid house, broken beat and drum & bass. Pawlowitz' live set is likely to draw on tracks from that record, its predecessor Shedding the Past, and his diverse material under the pseudonyms Wax and EQD. He'll be complemented by a DJ set from Fengler, whose performances in Berlin as well as festivals like Labyrinth have cemented his reputation as one of Berghain's finest. Joining the pair in the Beaver Works warehouse will be Casual Violence going head to head with Perc Trax's Smear. Elsewhere on the night, Audio Werner will head up the Twaddle room with Christian Maiden, while Kill The Disco and the Detatched DJs will oversee the goings on in the space's bar and VIP area. Tickets for Detatched with Shed & Marcel Fengler are available right here from RA Tickets.
