  • Berlin-based singer and producer Fritz Kalkbrenner will make his London debut this Friday night at a new party, Junkette. Kalkbrenner first made a splash in 2009 with "Sky and Sand," a tune that showed him singing over beats by his superstar brother, Paul. Earlier this year he released his debut album Here Today Gone Tomorrow on imprint Suol Records, a Berlin-based that launched in 2010. The Junkette crew said they heard Kalkbrenner play at his record's launch party one Wednesday night in Berlin, and were so bowled over by the performance that they immediately wanted to bring him back to London. He'll be joined in the intimate, Funktion One-equipped basement by a crew of his label-mates, namely Trickski, Zander VT, Chopstick and JohnJon. Meanwhile, two London staples (and RA podcast alumni) will hold it down in room two: Bill Brewster and jozif.
