- The London label's first compilation features a mix from Geddes and a live set from Tom Demac.
murmur will release their first label compilation this March, entitled nofitstate.
Since they went into operation three years ago, murmur have churned out 12-inches by a closely knit but open-ended group of artists, including Matt Tolfrey, Inxec and Bearweasel, as well as label co-founder Geddes. They've also thrown dozens of parties around London, first called murmur and more recently No Fit State, bringing the likes of Tensnake, Shonky and others to small and underground spots around the city.
The upcoming compilation packs in two discs. On the first, Geddes mixes new and upcoming selections from the murmur catalog, plus a few favorites from other camps. The second disc features a live set from label cornerstone Tom Demac. Firing up his 808 and 909, he weaves through 11 of his own productions, all of which are exclusive to Murmur. The collection marks the label's first full-length release to date.
