  • The first Yota Space festival will take place this month in St. Petersburg, Russia, beginning with an eight-hour opening concert this Sunday night. Aside from his prolific and influential career as a musician, Eno has long been immersed in the world of digital art, devising various installations and what he calls "video paintings." The Yota Space festival will engulf five floors of the former Frunzenskiy department store with this kind of multimedia artwork. "This is a great platform for digital art and music, which in my mind have a natural cohesion to one another," Eno says. "This is the first time my work 77 Million Paintings will be seen in Russia, which combines art and music, my two great loves." The two-week event series kicks off this weekend with a performance from indie-electronic favourites Hot Chip. Russian production outfit SCSI-9 will take the stage as well, along with Czech duo D-Pulse.
