Carl Craig, Ikonika and Kid Sister are also booked for the world's chilliest party series.
Igloofest have revealed details for their 2011 events in Montreal, with a total of nine outdoor dance parties planned for the end of January.
For the Quebecois, long, dark and frigid winters are simply a fact of life. But do you see them hunkered down in the underground city just waiting for it to pass? Hell no. They get out there in their one-piece ski suits and dance for three straight weekends in the coldest stretch of the entire year. And with Igloofest's series of open-air parties, that's not nearly as hard as it sounds. Set amongst actual igloos and ice sculptures beside the St Laurent River, the annual festival expects to draw more than 40,000 bundled-up revelers this year.
The portion of the lineup announced so far boasts a wide range of international DJs and live acts. On the opening weekend, Berlin-based tech house jocks Seth Troxler and Anja Schneider will both man the decks, joined by party-rocking duo Stanton Warriors. Mutek will curate a night the following weekend, featuring Isolee, Pépé Bradock and local acts Akufen and Guillaume & The Coutu Dumonts. Chicago hip hop artist Kid Sister will also perform that weekend, along with Made to Play outfit Round Table Knights. The third weekend of Igloofest will feature Detroit heavyweight Carl Craig, London dubstep artist Ikonika and local Ninja Tune producer Poirier.
