- The London disco outfit's latest collection features Architeq, AN-2 and Time and Space Machine.
London-based imprint Tirk has completed its third compilation, simply titled Tirk 3, due for release in early December.
Launched by Nuphonic co-founder Sav Remzi, Tirk has carved a niche for itself over the past six years with a trademark blend of disco, house and psychedelic sounds. The imprint has more than 60 records to its credit so far, including 12-inches by Greg Wilson, Red Rack'em (as Hot Coins) and Maurice Fulton (as Syclops). Tirk 3 highlights some of the artists that have been most active on the label, such as Architeq and Richard Norris's Time and Space Machine, both of whom appear twice on the collection. As-yet unheard material comes from recent signing Sportloto and newly formed dub duo the Skintologists. Theomatic labelhead AN-2, meanwhile, drops in for a remix of the 1970's disco classic "Carry On, Turn Me On" by Space.
