This Saturday, November 6 Crookers will be coming to Toronto venue The Sound Academy.
Italian duo Crookers have been releasing records on Norman Cook's Southern Fried for two years now, in which time they have collaborated with the likes of Kelis, Soulwax and Roisin Murphy—although it's as remixers that they have been at their most prolific having re-rubbed Fever Ray, Jesse Rose and Faithless in recent times. Together with Bok Bok, L-Vis 1990 founded London-based club event and label Night Slugs. As our current Label of the month feature with them explains, the sound of the duo's party and imprint has been an important facet of the ever expanding UK bass music scene these past two years, and you can be sure L-Vis will be bringing plenty of those vibes to Toronto this weekend. The bass-heavy lineup will be completed by Brooklyn's AC Slater and masked UK producer SBTRKT.
