  • Over two nights later this month, Bristol's Club Cosmique will host past and present members of acclaimed indie crossover label DFA. The brainchild of local DJ duo Pardon My French, Club Cosmique has explored house, disco and various points in between since its first event this March, with featured guests like Tim Sweeney and In Flagranti. Slotting seamlessly into the club night's programme next month will be former DFA man Tim Goldsworthy and longtime label staple Juan Maclean. Goldsworthy co-founded DFA in 2001 alongside Jonathan Galkin and James Murphy of LCD Soundsystem, but earlier this year he abruptly split with the label and returned to the UK. As of late he's kept busy with solo productions and remix projects for artists like DJ Hell and Massive Attack. Joining him on the 22nd will be Ali Tillett, best known as the man behind London booking agency and Plastic People club night Warm. The following week will see Juan Maclean take the reigns for a DJ set that's likely to draw on the housier fare of his recent DJ Kicks contribution, as well as the pop and synth-driven sound of his own records on DFA. Ezra Bang & The Hot Machine will be on hand for live support on the 29th, and residents Okay Deejay and the Pardon My French DJs will appear on both dates. Tickets for both parties are available right here on RA Tickets.
