- London's Plex will push out the boat for their 4th birthday bash this weekend, with Beverly Hills 808303 and Placid on the bill. Perhaps best known for his 1997 underground hit Space Invaders Are Smoking Grass, veteran Dutch performer I-F has been producing music for the better part of two decades. As Beverly Hills 808303 he released a string of records throughout the '90s on imprints such as Acid Planet and Drop Bass Network (as the name suggests, all of the sounds were created using a TR-808 and a TB-303) I-F will don this moniker on Friday, giving Corsica Studios a taste of dirty acid beats. Joining him will be Detroit's Mike Huckaby, a DJ who hardly needs an introduction. With renowned DJ sets and releases on his own Deep Transportation and Harmonie Park labels, Huckaby is sure to deliver everything from disco to deep techno on the night. Bristol native Placid will be on board as well, selecting tracks from his expansive crate. Al Tourettes, Rival Consoles and Headcleaner will also showcase their live sets for Corsica's revellers and further support will come in the form of DJ sets from tothebone, Konx-Om-Pax, Aled Jones and of course the Plex Residents.
