  • London's Bleep43 crew have announced details of their new label, Bleep43 Recordings. The tale of London's Bleep43 night can be traced back to 2002 and Shoreditch venue Public Life. It was there the crew first began pushing the concept of booking high quality (and often under appreciated) house, techno and electro acts to perform in an intimate environment. The party moved on to Elephant & Castle's Corsica Studios in 2006 and has since become established as one of the capital's best-loved and most respected electronic music events. Surgeon, I-F, Donato Dozzy, Pole, DJ Stingray and Omar-S are among the big hitting names to perform in the humidity of Corsica's main space, while Bleep43 have also been committed to showcasing local talent such Orphan and Jo Johnson, both of whom make it on to Bleep43 EP 001. On a largely electro-facing offering for the imprint's maiden release, the pair are joined by Gerard Hanson/Convextion who appears under his E.R.P. moniker, and Plant43, who, like Hanson, has recently released on highly regarded Madrid imprint Semantica. Meanwhile, the next Bleep43 party will hit Corsica Studios next Friday, October 1st. Topping the bill is Sherard Ingram's Urban Tribe project, who will be joined by Gerard Hanson under his Convextion moniker and fellow Bleep43 EP 001 artist Plant43. Bleep43 regular Legowelt is also scheduled for a performance, as is DJ Overdose, Matt Whitehead, Mariska, Matilda, Dan Bean and Toby Frith. Tickets to Bleep43 on October 1st can be grabbed via RA Tickets.
