  • Techno experimentalist Oni Ayhun will take his live show to Scotland next month for Huntleys & Palmers Audio Club. The Glasgow-based party makers have hosted events in Glasgow and London since 2007, with a diverse music policy that places an emphasis on retro-leaning specialists like Nite Jewel and Linkwood, and genre boundary pushers like Rebolledo, Bullion and James Holden. Oni Ayhun is one such innovator who has blazed through the techno landscape these past 18 months, with defining 12-inch releases for his own OAR Records, and remixes for Kontra-Musik and Macro. With his real identity still officially under wraps, the producer's theatrical live show is certain to perpetuate myths surrounding his shadowy identity, while serving up crowd favourites like last year's hit "Untitled OAR-003B." A different take on chilly electronics and ghoulish synths will also be offer with a DJ set from 1980s cold wave expert Veronica Vasick. The New York-based label owner is something of an authority on the subgenre, with her cultish Minimal Wave imprint, which was responsible for The Minimal Wave Tapes Vol. 1 compilation from earlier this year. Joining these two on the bill at Stereo will be local talent Ruaridh Law, better known under the alias of The Village Orchestra. Pre-sale tickets for H&P presents Oni Ayhun, Veronica Vasicka and The Village Orchestra can be found right here on RA.
