In celebration of their fifth anniversary, Berlin and London-based house imprint Made To Play will release Re:Play, a two-disc compilation featuring new and old productions by the label's core artists.
DJ and producer Jesse Rose founded Made to Play back in 2005 as a platform for tracks designed specifically for club use (hence the name). In the meantime, the label has put out more than 30 12-inches and a couple of mix compilations, launched a monthly residency at Panorama Bar and taken on a group of artists that includes Riva Starr, Oliver $, Idiotproof and Round Table Knights among others. Re:Play shows this cast of artists working together on a fistful of new productions, remixing each other's work or building new tracks from scratch, resulting in 10 previously unreleased cuts in total. A second disc shows Rose mixing up some of his favorites from the label's catalog so far, from early tunes like Magik Johnson's "Scanning for Viruses" to Riva Starr's recent collaboration with Noze, "I Was Drunk."
