Montreal's open air dance party will host Ellen Allien, Josh Wink, Popof and more over the next few weeks.
Only five weekends remain on this year's program for Piknic Electronik, with the open-air dance party's closing date set in the first weekend of October.
In the meantime, you can still pack in plenty of daytime parties beneath that weird metal sculpture by the River St. Laurent. UK bass label Ninja Tune have a showcase lined up for this Saturday, followed the next afternoon by an all-Canadian event featuring Misstress Barbara. On Labor Day, Berlin-based imprint BPitch Control will take over the space for a party featuring label mainstays Kiki, Sascha Funke and Ellen Allien. French electro producer Popof will make an appearance next weekend for an event thrown by Turbo, Tiga's locally-based record label, and the end of the month will see Ovum founder Josh Wink man the decks. The season comes to a close on October 3rd with UK duo Swayzak, flanked by local artistPheek and London's Meat Katie.
