  • East London's Scrutton Street warehouse will shut permanently for redevelopment at the end of August. Known both as Scrutton Street Studios and Black Lotus Karate Club, the warehouse space has become a favoured location over the last year for some of the city's best known party-makers like Bugged Out!, Hybrid Life and Vice. The closing party on August 28, hosted by dollop, will call on the services of recent Paris-to-Dalston transplant Ivan Smagghe, to grace the venue with his unclassifiable style for the first and last time. Tiga's junior sibling Thomas Von Party will also be on hand, flying the flag for electro tech alongside his Turbo Recordings labelmate Matt Walsh, while Chrome Hoof member Milo Smee, Nathan G Wilkins and the dollop residents will keep the party ticking over until 6am. Advance tickets for dollop's Strutton Street Warehouse Closing Party are available now on RA. UPDATE: Unfortunately, Scrutton Studios are being forced to close earlier than expected following a stop notice from Hackney Council. This party will now take place at The CAMP.
