  • The Warehouse Project have announced M.I.A. as the headliner for their November 13 event. The New York-based Brit will take to the stage of the intimate club space beneath Manchester Piccadilly Station as part of The Warehouse Project's 5th annual program. M.I.A. rejoined the touring circuit this summer after a year-long hiatus that saw her taking on motherhood as well as the production of her latest longplayer, Maya, a characteristically eclectic fusion of hip-hop, dancehall and electro experimentation that featured the track "Born Free", notorious for its confronting video clip. BBC Radio 1 DJ Annie Mac will lend her own DJ skills to the night as as part of her annual ‘Annie Mac presents’ tour. The event will also feature high octane dubstep from recent M.I.A. collaborator Rusko, plus The Now Wave DJs, Andro and Will Tramp as the night's support crew, with more guests to be revealed in the coming weeks. Tickets for The Warehouse Project & Annie Mac present M.I.A can be found right here on RA.
