- The dub techno artist will release his next album as Onmutu Mechanicks this September.
Glasgow-based producer Arne Weinberg is set to release his next full-length, Nocturne, this fall on Echocord.
Weinberg appears on the new album as Onmutu Mechanicks, an alias he's used on and off since 2006, sometimes alongside German producer Niko Tzoukmanis. On past releases, Onmutu Mechanicks has had the same emotional and atmospheric sound that characterizes much of Weinberg's music, but relies less on a steady 4/4 beat, opting instead for dub-influenced, syncopated rhythms. Nocturne will be the second album by Onmutu Mechanicks this year, following a limited edition CD-R called Unfolding the Giant Void, released in April on his own diametric imprint.
