  • Drag City have unveiled details for the first solo album by Laetitia Sadier, former vocalist for the underground pop group Stereolab. Formed by Sadier and guitarist/keyboardist Tim Gane, Stereolab developed a large cult following over the course of the '90s, releasing dozens of albums and EPs until they went on indefinite hiatus last year. Described in one of their EP titles as Space Age Bachelor Pad Music, their sound relied on analog synthesizers and Sadier's lounge-style vocals, with politically-charged lyrics that alternated between English and French. The Trip is Sadier's first ever solo album. It features ten new tracks by Sadier, plus two covers: "Un Soir, Un Chien" by French pop group Les Rita Mitsouko and "By the Sea" by '70s American vocal duo Wendy and Bonnie. Tracklist 01.
