Ekstravaganza welcomes The Mole and Ivan Smagghe

- Prins Thomas' London residency marks its fifth party with a summer special edition.
- The fifth edition of Ekstravaganza will take place at South London's Corsica Studios this Friday. Since its launch last September, Prins Thomas' bi-monthly soiree has featured the kind of cosmic and psychedelic disco that Thomas helped popularise, both through his own music and through his record labels, Full Pupp and Internasjonal. So far, Ekstravaganza has featured DJ and live sets from some of modern disco's most sought-after talents, such as Mark E, The Revenge, Horse Meat Disco, Tensnake and Thomas's Norwegian compatriot Lindstrom. Ekstravaganza 5 will mix up disco, leftfield house and electronica. Thomas will fill the closing slot in the main room, following on from Discossession's Jonny Nash, and a live set of looped and dusty deep house by The Mole, who released two records on Internasjonal in 2009. Meanwhile, in room two, Sean Johnston of Hardway Brothers will warm up for the eclectic Parisian Ivan Smagghe. And for punters keen on some food and drink, BBQ and cocktails will be served outside from 8pm, with musical accompaniment by Japan's Dubby and Discossession.
