  • Prolific techno artist Oliver Ho is set to release his next album on Macro, the German label run by Stefan Goldmann and Finn Johannsen. Though Ho has released several albums under his own name, Chamber Music is his first as Raudive, the guise he switched to in 2006, ten years into his career. Much like his recent records on Macro and Wires, the album is dark, challenging and largely focused on acoustic sounds. (Some of the tracks found on the album have previously been released on Macro.) Ho's MySpace describes it thusly: "Bitches Brew voodoo reeds, New York no wave voices and European avant-string spin a mesmerizing dark patina around the ultra-present 3000-year-rhythms." After hearing a few of the tracks, that characterization sounds weirdly accurate. Tracklist 01. Is it Dark in Here 02. Cone 03. Paper 04. Over 05. Khaki 06. Brittle 07. X-Rays 08. Tul 09. Sienna Macro will release Raudive's Chamber Music on October 2nd, 2010.
