  • London's LED Festival will host their inaugural edition over the course of this year's August Bank Holiday Weekend. LED—or London Electronic Dance Festival to give it its full title—will take over the city's Victoria Park for its two-day duration, with electro-house star David Guetta presiding over the Friday bill, and Leftfield headlining the Saturday night with a special live performance. The group's Paul Daley has decided to sit out their comeback tour in favour of preparations for his solo career, so it'll be down to Neil Barnes to lay down a set of their greatest hits on the main stage. Joining Leftfield on the Saturday will be none other than Aphex Twin, who will provide the pure electronic counterpoint to the electronic pop and rock of accompanying main stage acts Goldfrapp and Friendly Fires. Apart from Radio 1's Annie Mac, bass-heavy acts are the focus of the rest of the Saturday, with Subfocus and Shy FX providing the drum & bass and jungle thrills, Zinc showcasing his "crack house" style, and the Boy Better Know crew bringing their live grime antics to Victoria Park. Electro-house is the main dish on Friday's menu, with Guetta set to be joined by Calvin Harris, Soulwax, Tiga, Boy 8-Bit and Zombie Nation amongst others, while those who fancy things a bit deeper can always check out Azari & III's DJ set in Tiga's Planet Turbo arena.
