- The new Spectral Sound compilation features Audion, Mike Parker, Hieroglyphic Being and more.
This May, Spectral Sound will release a new label compilation called Document, with tracks selected by label co-manager Ryan Elliott.
The collection will see release almost exactly ten years after Spectral first grew out of Ghostly International, and will attempt to pin down the label's dynamic and open-ended sound. With throbbing techno by Mike Parker, experimental lo-fi house by Hieroglyphic Being, and Kassem Mosse's rough-edged take on Lawrence's "Divided," Document definitely does justice to the label's diversity, while also showcasing core producers like Lee Curtiss, Kate Simko, Seth Troxler and Audion. All of the tracks are previously unreleased, except for those that appear on Document Pt. 1 and Document Pt. 2, the compilation's precursor EPs.
