  • Modeselektor will play an intimate free show as part of Red Bull Music Academy's ongoing London programme tomorrow night. The BPitch Control duo are used to playing large club shows and festivals when they hit the UK, but Gernot and Szary will return to their roots tomorrow with a performance at The Book Club. The bassy Berliners will be DJing back-to-back with Numbers co-founder Jackmaster, while extra support will come from techno and dubstep blender Braiden, and the Red Bull Music Academy Allstars. Radio 1Xtra's Benji B will also give over his club night to the Red Bull programme on Wednesday, with Skream set to do something a little different for the occasion. The Croydon dubstep star will eschew his usual style to lay down a set of house and disco at The CAMP, and he'll be joined by Manchester's Illum Sphere and UK funky starlet Katy B. Last but certainly not least, RA are throwing our own RBMA-assisted event at T Bar this Thursday. As with the Modeselektor event, entry is totally free of charge, and we've managed to secure a hefty main room line-up that takes in DJ sets from Untold, Scuba, current RA podcaster Jamie Vex'd and a live set from Irish-born but Harlem-based beatsmith Mike Slott. Those looking for an alternative to the sub-low sounds downstairs can always check out Italian electronic music stalwart Marco Passarani, and Thompson, who mixed up a selection of vintage house and disco for last week's podcast.
