  • On Thursday March 4th, RA and the Red Bull Music Academy will team up for a free party at T Bar featuring some of the finest names in dubstep and wonky hip-hop, plus a bit of house and techno. The night's primary attractions will be bassweight innovators Scuba and Untold, who will both head up the bill in T Bar's downstairs room. Hot on the heels of his recent Sub:stance mix, Scuba is fast becoming one of dubstep's most influential figureheads, and Untold has been on the A-list ever since his stunning I Can't Stop This Feeling EP from last spring. They'll be joined by Jamie Vex'd, one of Planet Mu's most psychedelic and wonky bass merchants, and Mike Slott, a Harlem-based Irishman who's kaleidoscopic hip-hop experimentalism really is something to behold. Meanwhile in the upstairs room, a bunch of RBMA participants will get their turn behind the decks, going under the collective title of Red Bull Music Academy Allstars. Italian house and techno don Marco Passarani will also make sure the party gets a dose of straight-up 4/4 rhythms. It may be a school night, but with a line-up like this and an entry fee of absolutely nothing, you've got little excuse to stay in.
