  • Parisian bloggers and promoters Get The Curse will start their Get The Curse Music label next month with a release from Clement Meyer. The six-strong collective have been running the Get The Curse website for three years now, showcasing their love for modern house and techno via a series of recommendations and playlists, often from supportive producers such as Ivan Smagghe and Claude VonStroke. The latter was the first to recognise the production talent within the six-strong collective, signing up Olibusta's "That's What's Up" to the digital arm of his Mothership label in the middle of last year. He also collaborated on an EP with fellow GTC member Clement Meyer soon after, with the pair finally agreeing that the time was right to start up Get The Curse Music. The six have gathered up music from Darabi—a French duo who produce dark and trippy electro-house that gels perfectly with the tastes of the Get The Curse crew—and Wolf + Lamb signing Le Loup for future releases, although the first single (which will be issued both digitally and on vinyl) will be the low-slung techno of Clement Meyer's "Midnight Madness," which will also feature remixes from Sian and his production partner-in-crime, Olibusta. The label will also host a launch party at Paris' Social Club on Saturday 23rd January with appearances from all three artists as well as recent Watergate compilation curator Konrad Black.
