  • Lil' Louis will head East for two special headlining shows in Amsterdam and Tokyo. The past few years have been fairly quiet as far as Louis' international performances are concerned, but he's kept himself busy in the meantime, completing both his A Man's Diary: A True Story of a Good Man's Search for a Good Woman book as well as his Two Sides To Every Story double album, the first disc of which showcases his R&B side, and the second of which features a more club-oriented house music style. Having risen through the Chicago house ranks on the city's seminal Dance Mania imprint and churning out classics like "French Kiss," "How I Feel," "The Original Video Clash," "Frequency" and "Club Lonely," Louis has firmly cemented his place in house music history, but his DJing skills are equally celebrated amongst his fans. After playing last year's Generations Of Love festival in Amsterdam, Louis will bring his wax over to Holland for a headlining show at the city's Paradiso venue courtesy of the Dekmantel crew. Dekmantel's Casper Tielrooij and Thomas Martojo will join him in the main room on Friday 29th January, while talented local jocks San Proper and Aardvarck are amongst the DJs taking over room two. Louis' next date is at Tokyo's much-lauded Air club on Saturday 13th February, which will see him play as the sole headliner of the evening. Expect a party vibe at both events as the DJing stalwart mixes up a selection of house, disco, soul and more.
