  • Finally following up his 2000 debut album release on Keys of Life, Freestyle Man, AKA Sasse, will deliver his second long player, The Bottom Line on Bear Entertainment's deep, techy house imprint, Hairy Claw early next year. The Finnish-born, Berlin-based producer has drawn upon his array of retro recording equipment and vinyl selections, and put together an album filled with warm, analoge vibes splashed with jazz hooks, vocal snippets and sweeping, swirling synths—very much in the vein of the current old school Chi-house/Detroit techno revival. Tracks such as "Body" and "Trailer Ends" have an early Deep Dish-esque feel; the tracky, classic sound of "Vibin," the timeless keys of "House You" and the jazz-laced "Boogaloo" and "Janne" are reminiscent of releases on Guidance Recordings from the late '90s. "Gigi Groove" and "Seriously," meanwhile, help to break up the four-to-the-floor action with some downtempo beats. Tracklist 01. Century 02. Body 03. Old Fashioned Love 04. Vibin 05. Janne 06. Trailor Ends 07. Chunkin 08. Gigi Groove 09. Boogaloo 10. House You 11. Seriously The Bottom Line is due for release on Hairy Claw on February 8, 2010.
