  • David Sumner (AKA Function) will return to his New York City for a show at The Bunker next Friday. As part of the Sandwell District collective, Sumner's profile has grown considerably, although he's been producing on labels such as Synewave and his own Infrastructure New York imprint since the mid-'90s. His performance for the NYC techno institution will be his sole US gig during his stay, and he'll be joined in the main room by anonymous techno figure Traversable Wormhole for an evening of dark techno and impeccably executed minimalism. Bunker residents Derek Plaslaiko and Spinoza will join them in the darkened back room, while Sub Static and Karloff co-founder Falko Brocksieper will also make the journey from Berlin for his second Bunker performance, this time playing in Public Assembly's front room.
