- Slam's Glaswegian clubbing institution will celebrate its birthday with the help of the Planet E boss this weekend.
- Slam will toast eleven years of party promotion on Friday at Glasgow's Arches. Pressure has become a regular fixture for fans of house and techno in the city, offering some of the biggest line-ups throughout the whole of Scotland on a monthly basis. Detroit techno legend Carl Craig was scheduled to appear at last year's landmark 10th anniversary celebrations, but unfortunately missed his flight and had to cancel his performance. He's scheduled to play again this time around, and you can be sure that he'll be doing everything in his power to ensure that he's present to satisfy the needs of Glasgow's techno contingent. Another tenth birthday booking that will be making a return for this year's bash will be electro-house maximalist Boys Noize, and this time he'll be bringing Berlin-based signing Housemeister along for the ride. Panorama Bar resident Cassy will showcase her stripped-back minimal house sound for her Pressure debut, while Ben Sims, Nathan Fake and local heroes Edit-Select will all be rocking a more techno-oriented sound.
