  • DJ Deep is set to inaugurate his Deeply Rooted label night at Rex Club on Friday 4th December. Although he has put his name on a few collaborative productions over the years, Cyril Etienne des Rosaies is a DJ first and foremost, with his incredibly deep knowledge of house and techno from both Europe and the US. This obsession with electronic music feeds back into his Deeply Rooted House imprint, which has issued releases from house music legends such as Kerri Chandler, K-Alexi Shelby and DJ Gregory over the course of its five year history. However, Deep's first Deeply Rooted party will focus more on the techno side of things, with a headlining performance from Detroit techno stalwart Robert Hood. Hood's last Parisian show was nearly two years ago, so fans of hard-edged minimalism should do their best to attend this time around. Norman Nodge is also there to represent the Berlin techno contingent, while Paris is represented by both DJ Deep and Deeply Rooted House signing Francois X.
