  • Eastern Electrics have unveiled plans for their New Year's Eve bash, with Steve Bug set to top the bill. The Poker Flat, Audiomatique and Dessous chief has had a busy year in London in 2009, headlining five shows for the likes of fabric, Superfreq and secretsundaze, and he's set to kick off the next decade with yet another show in the English capital. Mulletover will be hosting the main arena at Eastern Electrics second consecutive NYE shindig, seeing Bug line up alongside bleepy French tech-houser Shonky as well as DDD and Mulletover's respective promoters Simon Morell and Geddes. If you prefer your four-to-the-floor beats to be a bit more jerky and jacking, then Man Make Music may have just the thing for you. Dirtybird duo Justin Martin and Riva Starr will be on hand to mix things up between fidget, electro and tech-house styles, while Bloc will offer up a selection of resolutely bass-heavy acts in the third and final arena. Hyperdub head honcho Kode9 leads the charge with his energetic mix of dubstep and UK funky sounds, and it's likely that Appleblim will favour a similar sound palette when he hits the decks. MJ Cole has also been dabbling with a bit of funky lately, but you can still be sure of a major helping of heavily-swung UK garage during his set. However, if it's pure rowdiness you're after, Plastician will be on hand to showcase his punishing grime and dubstep synergy. Tickets to Eastern Electrics' NYE party are now available to purchase directly from RA Tickets.
