  • Nooncat is set to release his second full-length via the Switzerland-based Dilek imprint later this month. Alex Meshkov has had a quiet couple of years as far as physical releases are concerned, but he'll be making his return with Enola, which is the first album to be released on Dilek. As fans of his work on Treibstoff, Trapez and Trenton will already know, Meshkov's sound is grounded in the tech-house genre, combining delicate drum sounds and strategically placed melodic blasts to create a restrained minimalist aesthetic. Enola sees the producer continue in this tradition, mixing up housier club tracks ("Enola") with melancholic melodies ("Ks?n"), and even appeasing peak-time techno fans with the eerie "Yoji," which also appears in the form of a remix from Ware boss Mathias Schäffhauser. Tracklist 01. Yoji 02. Gugela 03. Yoji (Mathias Schaffhäuser Remix) 04. Ks?n 05. Nyaako 06. Enola 07. Woody Man Dilek Records released Enola on vinyl on November 27th, 2009. It will be available at all digital stores next month.
