  • Spektre are set to start their own record label later this month. The duo have had quite a prolific few years, issuing singles on the likes of Rotary Cocktail, Dekadent and Tim Sheridan's Very Very Wrong Indeed imprint, but now is the time for them to take their own step into the world of label management. Derived from an anagram of their artist name, Respekt Recordings will now act as the main platform for the pair's rolling tech-house and techno, with the first release hosting a collaboration between Spektre and fellow Yorkshireman Matt Cooper. "Cuernos Cubanos" sees the trio plump for a relentless Latin techno vibe, while flipside "Kicking K" offers a skippy take on the popular minimal house sound of this year. The package will also come with three tool mixes, enabling both vinyl and digital DJs the ability to tease the two tracks' hook-lines into the mix with relative ease. The vinyl for "Cuernos Cubanos" will hit the shops on November 16th, while digital retailers will be able to dispense the Respekt material one week later.
