- Jean-Vincent Luccini will adopt his female alter ego alongside new talent JHK for an LP release early next year.
Sarah Goldfarb & JHK will release their first excursion into album territory early next year.
Does Jean-Vincent Luccini have the oddest moniker in techno? The French producer has chosen to release EP efforts for the likes of Trapez, Dumb-Unit and Treibstoff under the Sarah Goldfarb pseudonym since 2003, (the name was chosen in honour of the speed munching old lady in the movie Requiem for a Dream) and it's the latter imprint that will put out Heartbeat City in January 2010. Luccini was apparently turned off by the idea of releasing an album until an invitation extended to his friend, neighbour and unknown production talent Jean-Christophe Hallary (AKA JHK) to record with him turned into a full-blown ten-track LP effort. The label are billing this one, "as detailed as it is accessible, (it) is a multilayered and danceable beast of an album," although getting stuck into Luccini's tough minimal grooves of the past few years may prove to be a better indication of what to expect.
