  • DJ Bone is set to host a Subject Detroit label showcase at Leuven's Der Machine club this Friday. Far from what the name of the imprint suggests, the Subject Detroit label has been a platform for many European producers that have caught the ear of DJ Bone, beginning with Scotland's Stephen Brown back in '06. Trish van Eynde is the latest artist to be taken under the Subject Detroit wing with this year's Subject Belgium EP, forging bright wonky melodies to her stomping beats, and she's set to appear at the gig alongside sometime collaborator Sam Ostyn. Fellow Subject signing Klaina will follow her recent remix of Rennie Foster with a DJ set at the party, while DJ Bone will take the headlining spot. Those who have caught the Detroit techno stalwart in a live setting before should know what to anticipate, while the uninitiated should expect an energetic three-deck techno session that never gives up the groove.
