  • Surgeon and DJ Pete will once again team up for Bleep43 next month. The pair originally met in the '90s while Surgeon was a resident DJ at Berlin's Tresor club, and after watching each other play and discussing the finer points of techno, Surgeon asked Pete to join him at Tresor. The duo would often play alternate hour-long slots and mix up plenty of different styles throughout the night. Surgeon and Pete last spun together for Bleep43's December 2008 party, and the night was such a resounding success that promoter Toby Frith instantly agreed to have them back. The second room, meanwhile, will offer an alternative for those who like their electronic music a little deeper, with Patrice Scott heading over from his temporary Berlin abode to headline. The Detroit-based producer and DJ has been around on the city's local scene since the '90s, but the last few years have seen his international stock rise exponentially due to his deliciously deep house and techno releases on his own Sistrum imprint. Joining him will be Amsterdam's Newworldaquarium, who has been responsible for a raft of hypnotic anthems over the course of the past decade, such as the recently reissued "Trespassers." Expect plenty of similarly-angled murky house when he takes to Corsica's turntables.
