  • Warp Records have announced details of their final Warp20 shows, which will take place in December. The Coronet is where London-based Warp devotees will flock to celebrate the label on Saturday 5th December, and they'll be treated to three live performances from artists old and new. NYC electronic rock quartet Battles will headline, but arguably the most interesting acts are lower down in the bill. Retro-futurist popsters Broadcast will play a rare live show, while Plaid will unveil a special live "classics" set, which was prepared especially for Warp20. Also, as attendees leave the show, they will be handed a copy of Warp's 2010 sampler, which will feature unreleased material from the likes of Rustie, The Hundred In The Hands, Flying Lotus, Bibio and Gonjasufi. Even though original announcements concerning the Warp20 tour didn't mention a Berlin event, the city's Berghain venue will host two separate Warp parties in consecutive weeks. The day before Battles' London show will see the group headline Berghain alongside quirky avant electronicists Nice Nice and dark Bristolian folkster Gravenhurst, while NYC punk-funkers !!! will spin a few records. Friday 11th December will see the label finish their 20th anniversary celebrations with a bang, taking over both Berghain and Panorama Bar for a down and dirty all-night session. Exactly who will be playing where hasn't become clear yet, but we can reveal that Andrew Weatherall, Clark, Jackson, Tim Exile and the Forgemasters' Winston Hazell will all make appearances. Plaid will also bring over their live show for a second run out, and Glasgow's new breed of off-kilter producers will be showcased via a special tag team set from Rustie and Hudson Mohawke.
