Contakt returns to London

Richie Hawtin and his M_nus cohorts will bring the Cube back to the UK for their only worldwide show this year.
M_nus are set to host a one-off Contakt performance at Brixton Academy on September 26th. Following the success of last year's world tour, Richie Hawtin's imprint will return to London for their only worldwide date under the Contakt banner, and have opted for the Brixton Academy as the space to house their return to the capital. Another night of conceptual musical adventure lies ahead with some of the key figures from the label including Magda, Troy Pierce, Marc Houle, Gaiser, Ambivalent, Heartthrob, JPLS and Barem all appearing. As was the case with the previous shows, a collaborative laptop show approach will once again be the order of the day, with the aforementioned M_nus roster dipping in and out of the performance as the evening progresses. Accompanying Hawtin and co. will of course be the divisive Cube, with its "bridge the gap between artist and audience" mission statement. Further support will be provided by Rebekah Aff who will pitch in with traditional DJ set, and Ali Demirel on visuals. Fans of Hawtin should also note this will be the M_nus head's only London club appearance of 2009.
