- The legendary cosmic disco pioneer from Brescia's Typhoon club will begin his London residency this Saturday.
Cosmic disco pioneer Beppe Loda is set to embark on a residency for London's Coup party.
Loda's big break came when he was invited to become the resident DJ at Brescia's Typhoon club in 1980, where he would mix up industrial, new wave, afrobeat, jazz and many more styles into a heady mix. Loda's adventurous DJing style was lapped up by the notoriously debauched Italian clubbers of the time, and he has cemented his place in history alongside DJs like Daniele Baldelli as one of the forefathers of the cosmic disco sound. The first date of his London residency will take place this Saturday in the intimate confines of The Doors club on City Road, and this time around he'll be supported by Hamburg-based DJs and promoters Huong-Dan and Emil Grelck, who have previously hosted Loda in their native Germany.
