Southern Fried Records have announced details of their second retrospective compilation, entitled Southern Fried & Tested 2.
Has Southern Fried really been going for nearly fifteen years? Well, yes of course, but this just means they have plenty of material to choose from when it comes to round-up compilations. The Chemical Brothers' warm-up DJ of choice Nathan Detroit has been bestowed the honour of stringing together the imprint's hits, and has gone about it in an "extended mini-mix" manner; cutting, slicing and dicing 67 tracks from the label's back catalogue. Armand Van Helden, Ashley Beedle, Cagedbaby, Dusty Kid, Riva Starr, Laidback Luke, Radio Slave, Switch and Paul Woolford all make appearances, but given Detroit's DJing style, don't expect them to remain in the mix too long.
