  • Lusine, AKA Jeff McIlwain, will return this fall to Ghostly International for his first full-length in four years for the imprint. After a quick stop over on Hymen for 2007's Language Barrier, Ghostly has welcomed McIlwain back into the fold for what may be his poppiest album yet. McIlwain's music has previously been known for its cold sheen, mixed with welcoming and warm melodies, but he'll take that one step further when he adds Vilja Larjosto to the mix for vocals on lead single "Two Dots." Only a few other songs on the album, entitled A Certain Distance, feature full-fledged singing, but the sound overall is more open than ever before, and word has it that he's preparing a live show with a vocalist for live dates in the fall in support of the album. If you can't quite wait to hear him play out, though, you'll have a chance to hear McIlwain on Ghostly's 10th anniversary tour in Brooklyn, Barcelona or Berlin over the next few weeks. Tracklist 01. Operation Costs 02. Two Dots 03. Tin Hat 04. Thick of It 05. Twilight 06. Baffle 07. Every Disguise 08. Double Vision 09. Gravity 10. Crowded Room 11. Cirrus Ghostly International will release Lusine's A Certain Distance in September.
