  • Smallville Records are set to release their first CD compilation later this year. Taking its title from the Hamburg record shop of the same name, Smallville began plying its trade back in 2006 when owner Julius Steinhoff decided to follow in the footsteps of his his record shop partner Peter Kersten (AKA Lawrence), who manages the Dial label. For the label's debut compilation release, Steinhoff has selected eight exclusive tracks to feature on the CD. Lawrence, STL, Move D & Benjamin Brunn, Sven Tasnadi and Steinhoff himself all contribute new material, but Lowtec's track ("meandyou.dub") should hold a little bit more sentimental value for a certain party crew in Manchester, who recently hosted the producer as part of their Workshop showcase. Vinyl fans will only miss out on one track, however, as eight of the exclusive cuts from the compilation are going to be spread out over the next four Smallville 12-inch singles. Tracklist CD: 01.
