  • Modern Love man Miles Whittaker (AKA MLZ) will make the journey south for his debut London show later this month. As half of Burnley-based duo Pendle Coven, Miles has been part of the much-celebrated Modern Love camp since 2003, and has since embarked on various solo projects under the Millie and MLZ monikers. Dark techno has always been the running theme throughout Miles' studio work, but his passion for jungle, hardcore, IDM and dubstep nearly always manages to exert its influence on his finished material. You can expect his DJ sets to be of a similar vein, although if you're a London resident, you won't have had the chance to catch him—until now, that is. Saturday 20th June will see Miles take to the decks at East London's Russian Bar for the Colony shindig, which takes in everything from techno to drum & bass at their monthly events. RA scribe and Colony promoter Max Bacharach will also take to the decks with his brother Carl, with extra support coming from Runsounds boss Chris Box and youthful electro connaisseur Jids.
