  • We told you we'd be back with some special guests, and we hope we haven't disappointed: RA is pleased to announce that we've added Sound Stream and Ewan Pearson to our parties in Barcelona during the Sonar Festival. We've enlisted our favourite German disco cut-up producer Sound Stream to play live at our RA by night event, providing the bridge between New York deep house man Jus-Ed and the European premiere of Akufen's new material. Closing out the night in RA's room? None other than the blistering sound of Thomas Brinkmann, who will take a break from exhibiting in galleries to show the crowd how it's done. On that same night, the good folks at B4 Bookings have also announced some additions to their room, adding Okain, Marc Marzenit and Edgar De Ramon to the previously announced headliners Lucio Aquilina, Camea and Xpansul. With the whole thing going down right in the heart of the Ramblas at the Boulevard Culture Club—the former home of Fellini—we're hoping you'll have no excuse not to stop by for a drink or two…or the whole night. Meanwhile, over at RA by day - hosted by Index Barcelona - we're equally as proud to tell you that one of our faves, Ewan Pearson, has agreed to join the party. Pearson has been busy behind the decks this year, producing tracks for artists and bands, but he'll be taking to the decks this summer quite a bit and we're lucky enough to have roped him in for some time on top of Hotel Me. He'll be joined by the previously announced producers-on-the-rise Manuel Tur and Tony Lionni. (For a taste of what you might be able to expect from the latter, you can still grab his RA podcast here.) There'll be at least one more special guest floating around that we unfortunately aren't able to announce, but we can tell you that it'll be a very rare Barcelona appearance for the person that we know will take to the decks at some point. Excited? So are we. But the only way to get in on the fun at this invite-only rooftop shindig is to enter this RA competition, in which we're giving away clothing from our co-sponsor, Fenchurch, and 25 pairs of tickets to see Tur, Lionni and Pearson provide those summery vibes. The competition closes early next week, so get in quick.
