  • Shelter will celebrate 18 years of partying with a night at Ministry Of Sound this Saturday. The club was formed in 1991 to fill the void left by the demise of the Paradise Garage, and is still going strong after a recent relocation of venue. Shelter's MOS takeover will also mark new ground for them, as it'll be the first time they'll have held any of their events in the space. Founding godfather Timmy Regisford will take to the decks for one of his marathon sets in the main room, and he'll be joined by New York resident and Shelter regular Quentin Harris, who will play his first ever live set at the bash. Harris will also be joined by deep house vocalist Donnie for a rendition of Shelter anthem "Cloud 9," but it's Regisford that will take up the lion's share of the evening. Longtime Shelter friend and Soul II Soul man man Jazzie B will looking after the bar, with UK house and broken beat stalwart Phil Asher completing the English alternative to Regisford's garage grooves. Those wanting a slice of the NY house action can pick up their tickets directly through RA Tickets.
