- Two years after his successful 2007 Australian debut, UK tech house heavyweight Paolo Mojo has returned, playing four shows nationally, including headline sets next weekend at Sydney institution Chinese Laundry, and Melbourne club Darkbeat's birthday celebrations. A DJ since 1991, Mojo's breakthrough came in 2001, with the release of his famed Music Is Freedom mix. Since then, the producer has completed dozens of high-profile international tours, alongside several headline sets at Fabric and Pacha. His DJ sets are renowned for incorporating funk, acid and electro, with Mojo explaining his philosophy thusly, "To me, the best DJs always select the best bits from a wide range of sounds, and put them together in a way that just makes sense to people."
